Carrot Cake is one of the deserts that makes everyone wonder - is this a 'real' cake? Because it has carrots - yes, carrots - in it, everyone seems to think that it will taste weird. Even I thought that until I tasted it. And it took me a while to build up the courage for that. But oh boy, when I did. Yuuum! In fact, this is one of the most flavored cakes I have ever tasted, because of all the nice spices you'll throw in there. And this is the opinion of a true chocolate lover, so something must be really good about this cake, right? Think about that for a second, mmhmm.
This is my favorite cake ever. I absolutely love the chocolate-lemon combination, and i absolutely love lemon curd. I have made this cake for my colleagues and friends more than once and i can tell you, no matter how big the cake was, it disappeared in a matter of minutes. It's deadly. Deadly delicious.
So, if you ever want to really impress, and bake something special for a loved one, this is the cake to go with.
You might think that this dessert is a very complicated one. Because it is somehow magical. One mixture and you get a cake exterior and a liquid interior? How is that possible?
Oh yeah! That's completely possible folks! All you need is a bit of vigilance and that's it! And you cannot - absolutely cannot - not love this cake. What's not to like? Chocolate? Good! More chocolate? Good! Even more chocolate? Good!
Amazing warm chocolate cake! AAAAAAAAA! Please God, make it so I don't get fat and I can eat this everyday. Pretty please?
Hi guys! With a *small* delay, I am here to make your eyes hurt of joy with these pink and delicious Valentine's treats! Fluffy vanilla muffins and addictive pink heart shaped butter biscuits! Yes! Because this day is all about indulging yourself and your loved one.
<3 <3 <3 lots of love!
A while ago, i received a request from a good friend of mine to make this cake. It was a reminder of the Kinder's Maxi King treat, and more than that, a reminder of childhood. So I responded to the challenge, because I could never refuse a 'sweet' request, could I? I made an inner kid happy, and that is something I will always be up for.
I made this pie a few times, because I absolutely adore the combination: the sweetness of the chocolate and the tartish of the oranges work out just perfectly together. It is a not-too-sweet dessert, and not-too heavy, so it is a winner in my opinion.
Plus, it looks so gorgeous, isn't it?
This is YUMMY!. Light and very easy to make. It's perfect for people that do not eat soup usually. Really, I am not a soup person, but this one is a winner. I made it at our small Celebrity Cooking Contest, and it definitely won me some points :D.
You will ask me what is Celebrity Cooking Contest. Well, it's a small thing that started among my group of friends. The two 'fighters' are supposed to cook 3 dishes: a starter, a main course and a desert (This means 6 dishes in total, so we ate a lot!) Then the dishes are presented one by one to the judges, anonymously, and they are grading them. We loved the idea very much, and we had a ton of fun on round 1, so we decided to do it again, and this time I participated. I made this Mushroom Cream Soup as a starter, an awesome Veal Stu as the main course, and a delicious Chocolate Orange Tart that will follow soon here.
The judges were the rest of the group. We rated the savory dishes with 1,2,3 and 5 (2 starters and 2 mains) points and the deserts with 1 and 2 points. Then we draw the line and summed up. It was a fantastic thing to do, i assure you! :)
This is the story of a bag of sour cherries, picked up in the rain straight from the tree and a cake baked in a lovely old style kitchen at a friend's house. The awesome taste was definitely influenced by the collective action of removing the pits and by the wonderful music and good company. Should I even mention the drooling around during the photo shoot?
This recipe is very simple and short. Lately, I cook more savory dishes than deserts. I try to eat healthier and take care of my figure, so I look up for all kinds of interesting food. This is a light dish and it is very tasty, suited for both lunch and dinner. It's better to be cooked in a weekend, because it takes up to 3 hours in the oven.
